HMDA Educational Roadshow Series Sells Out All Locations Amidst Positive Reviews

by Brian Arnesen | Aug 14, 2017

QuestSoft adds additional free webinars, one final road session to meet demand

 LAGUNA HILLS, CALIF., Aug. 14, 2017 – Helping lenders prepare in advance for next year’s reforms to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), QuestSoft recently completed a series of sold out road shows that provided a full-day educational seminar on preparing for the regulatory changes. This came after attendee review results were overwhelming positive from the first event held.

With stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta and Newark, the CFPB HMDA Road Show provided hundreds of attendees in-depth training on new data fields, practical tips for gathering accurate data and fair lending implications of the HMDA reforms.

“I loved QuestSoft’s HMDA Road Show,” said Andrea Finley, AVP of Mortgage Lending for Los Angeles-based First City Credit Union. “This event had the most useful and best information I have received in a single seminar. I would highly recommend QuestSoft’s seminars to any lender in need of Fair Lending and HMDA assistance."

To expand on the information provided during QuestSoft’s HMDA Road Show, the company is adding a series of webinars dedicated to specific areas of HMDA compliance. The first webinar, “Something HMDA This Way Comes,” [Link?] will be Aug. 16, 2017 and will cover the expanded data collection and submission requirements. Additional webinars will address:

    • Creating ironclad CRA assessment areas, Aug. 23, 2017;
    • Understanding the fair lending implications of “HMDA Plus” data collection, Sept. 7, 2017;
    • Evaluating vendor preparedness for HMDA reform, Sept. 13, 2017; and
    • Lending compliance in the digital world, Oct. 11, 2017.

In addition, QuestSoft has added another live HMDA Road Show date, hosting an encore seminar on Oct. 4, 2017, in Chicago.

“We are experiencing very positive reactions from our customers for each one of the educational events we have provided.” said Leonard Ryan, president of QuestSoft. “The main theme of the compliments seems to be an appreciation that we aren’t repeating regulatory verbiage but rather giving very specific practical actions for institutions to implement. These in-person and online training sessions reduce the stress of understanding the new standards and help lenders smoothly transition to the new processes.”
